AP offers a wide range of kits for a quick and effective replacement of the drum brakes.
Since the components are already pre-assembled and ready for installation, Easy Kit represents the best spares replacement solution (unlike the simple kit, which contains disassembled components).
Easy Kit grants the installer a proper and better replacement process of drum brakes, for a higher and more reliable quality, thanks to pre-assembled self-adjusting systems perfectly tested and adjusted at the factory.
The self-adjusting system (control rod) is a fundamental element, essential to the Easy Kit that ensures constant brake pedal stroke and distance between shoe and drum.
Combined with a "Termoclip", it prevents locking of the wheels in case of drum brake overheating that trips at different temperatures, depending on the brake and system type used.
Easy Kit has high quality standards resulting from a long expertise in the sector and from the strict controls made on each manufactured part.

The brake master cylinder  converts the physical pressure applied on the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure compressing and moving the liquid through the ducts to the wheel cylinders ( whose pistons expand to push the brake shoes against the drum ) or the brake calipers ( whose pistons push the pads against the disc ).
The brake pump can be single-stage or two-stage . It is made of cast iron or aluminium.

Thanks to the pressure of the fluid pumped from the brake master cylinder , the pistons of the brake cylinder widen pushing against the drum the jaws which in turn produce the friction to stop the vehicle . The hydraulic seal of the device is ensured by gaskets mounted on the body of the piston .

It is made of steel, cast iron, aluminium or plastic. All tanks are manufactured in PA 80,100 to provide high levels of resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents .

The braking regulator modulates the pressure applied to the rear brakes as a function of the load that is applied on this axis and the pressure of the front circuit to eliminate the risk of locking of the wheel, allowing to obtain the maximum deceleration.

In addition, the regulators (limiters and compensators) may also be at the cutting point and slope pre-established that do not depend on the load on the vehicle (CRCI).

High quality components, precise machining and full post-assembling tests make the AP water pumps a safe product, with no compromises on sealing and performance.
The bearing and flange are assembled in tandem by a production line equipped with 2 controlled axes presses; successively, an air sealing static test is performed by means of a special machine that checks each piece for possible leaks.
The parts non-compliant are identified and rejected by an automatic control system.

The development process and subsequent production of hoses starts from the original sample (OE).
The hoses structure is made of 3 layers: rubber inlay, over which the brake liquid flows, fabric braiding having the purpose to prevent hose expansion, and an outer layer of rubber.
The hose, having the highest strength and flexibility standards, is purchased from one of the main OE suppliers.
The assembling phase ends with a thorough, full check of our finished product on last generation testing benches.

The production of a quality cable starts from two fundamental components: wire and sheath.
The piece is tested by comparison with the matching OEM, upon each production start-up and through sampling.
A special bench is used for the tests consisting of tensile load on the lever and the load checking on the wheel.
The ratio must not be lower than the OEM values.
